Nanda (SN 2.27)
Nanda the son of the gods standing on a side said this stanza to the Blessed One.
"Time passes, the nights go by,
The life span of humans, gradually dwindle.
Seeing this fear, of death
Do merit, that brings pleasant results
Time passes, the nights go by,
The life span of humans, dwindle.
Seeing this fear, of death
Give up the material world, for appeasement."
